so you may remember a while ago I posted about this band that did a benefit show for the new aar
he told me he raised $150
but never sent me the money
and even worse, I sent the kid like 20 shirts, 100 buttons and priority shipped it all
so I basically paid to get screwed
anyway

his band kicked him out over this, but he still said he would send me the shirts back, but he blocked me again rather than actually sending anything to me

Help us turn the electric on at our new space
we need a deposit of $2,000 in order to turn the power on
we also need money for supplies to soundproof the building
we are waiting to find out when our public hearing will be for our “special permit” I am hoping to have everything set so the day after we get the permit we can open!
we are looking to open March 7th 2013
the lease is signed, and a $8400 deposit has been put on the building
we are currently waiting for a hearing for a special permit on march 5th(which cost almost $900) in order to have entertainment/shows
things are moving foward, they are just costing far more than I ever expected.
if you are not familiar with the old AAR it was a local venue/store that in the 2 years it was open booked over 200 shows for bands from all over the world, big and small, and always helped touring bands
everyone from A loss for words , Junction 18, gatsbys american dream, Colin of Arabia, boys like girls, the receiving end of sirens, four years strong, a loss for words, 100 demons, Dr. chud of the misfits, hawthorne heights played there, seriously lots of bands!
if you can think of other bigger bands that have played there feel free to add them to the list

things we have planned/are talking about so far:
all ages shows
art shows
an art gallery / lobby area
movie nights
classes/workshops on everything from booking shows, band management to screen printing and drawing
